Kljukusha Pie with Chicken Breast

 

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast - this is optional, you can add whatever you like
  • Potatoes (I've used around 400-500g for this recipe)
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • Baking powder
  • Black pepper
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Flour - 6 spoons (I've used whole wheat flour for this recipe)

Preparation:

  • Peel and wash the potatoes and then you need to grate them and add salt to it. After that leave it for 30 minutes for the potatoes to release the water and then strain the water.
  • After that cut or grate the onion and garlic and add to it as well.
  • Add pepper, baking powder, two spoons of olive oil and mix everything.
  • Add lukewarm water, you don't need to add much water, just a little and 6 spoons of flour into it, then mix everything up. Add a little more salt to it.
  • Take the pan and add olive oil into it and spread it all across. Then pour the mixture in and spread everything with a spoon or a spatula.
  • Heat up the oven on 200C (392F) for 10 minutes and put the pie in for 40 minutes.
  • When the pie is nearly done, warm up the milk with a little butter in it, and after 40 minutes pour it over the pie. Turn the oven off and leave it inside for 5 more minutes and it's done.
