Beef Steak and Potatoes
Ingredients:
- Beef steak
- Potatoes
- Gourmet seasoning (optional)
- Salt (regular or sea salt it's optional)
- Olive oil
- Butter
Preparation:
- Salt your beef stake and let it sit on the side like that. For this steak I've used sea salt.
- Peal your potatoes, cut them and put them to boil first. You don't have to overcook them, you just want them soft enough. I've cooked these for 5-6 minutes only. Put the pot on the side with potatoes and let them sit in hot water.
- Take your pan and let it heat up and then add olive oil to the hot pan. I suggest you to take bigger pan so you can make everything together. The oil will get hot sooner like this and it will not burn. When the oil is hot just put the steak in it and put the cover on. Leave it on one side 3-6 minutes; this depends how you like your steak to be, rare, medium or well done.
- While that is doing strain the potatoes and have them prepared.
- Turn the steak on the other side and add a little butter to it, and then add potatoes to the pan. Add gourmet seasoning or salt to your potatoes. Mix the potatoes occasionally for about 2-3 minutes.
- Turn the heat down on a stove to a medium, add just a little water to it and put the cover on.
- Water to evaporate will take around 5-10 minutes, it depends if you've added more water. Just mix the potatoes for few more time after water has evaporated and it's done.
Enjoy your meal!
